POSITION SUMMARY: The Safety/Security Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and evaluating the Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital (MEH) Safety Program to provide protection for patients, staff, and visitors within the facility. The MEH Security Program is directly supervised by the Safety/Security Manager. This position reports to the Hospital Administrator who provides general supervision and evaluates performance in terms of objectives met. BASELINE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science Degree. Four (4) years experience in a related field. Relevant education/training may substitute for experience. Professional registration, certification or licensure in an appropriate discipline e.g. (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Healthcare Safety Professional, etc.) or be able to obtain certification within one year.
