General Description of Job:

The Field HSE Technician works with field personnel, management, and supervision. This person reports to the North Slope Manager and consults with Anchorage‐based HSE Manager and Specialist to provide field support for the Health, Safety, and Environmental Program. Position will be based in field offices, but may include occasional travel to and work at Company’s Anchorage office.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

o Works with North Slope Managers and Foreman to ensure adherence to all Client and Company policies and procedures, and compliance with all regulatory Federal, State, local, Client, and Company driven requirements.

o Demonstrate and ensure the overall commitment to Safety by CCI Industrial Services personnel.

o Coaches personnel, inspects and audits assigned facilities and work in progress to help identify potential hazards, at‐risk behaviors, and hazardous conditions.

o Provides guidance to employees for corrective and/or preventative measures, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.

o Leads/participates in investigation of incidents and injuries. Cooperate and assist in the preparation of material and evidence for Company and Client use in investigations.

o Compiles and submits required reports to North Slope Manager, Company’s HSE Department, Clients, and others as required.

o Maintains field safety files and records.

o Preparation of Job Safety Analysis documents and presentation to Client when appropriate.

o Attends and participates in all pertinent safety meetings as established or requested by Client.

o Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI Industrial Services while on shift, on call or attending training.

o Coordinate position work hours to cover both crews to ensure equal time is spent with all employees.

o Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

o Valid Driver’s License.

o NSTC

o High School diploma.

o Associates degree in a safety related field or a minimum of 2 years experience in safety.

o Previous North Slope HSE experience.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

o Ability to clearly speak, read, write, and understand the English language.

o Ability to represent the organization in community and/or industry safety groups and programs and must have the appropriate professional skills to do so effectively.

o The individual in this position must be self‐motivated and able to work independently.

o Proficient computer experience, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Express.

Preferred Qualifications:

o CHST or OHST or higher certification in safety.

o NSTC certified trainer.

o STS authorized trainer.

Work Environment:

o Typically time is split between a field office and outdoor field environment.

o While performing the duties of this job, the employee at times works at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

Physical Requirements:

o Physical and technical requirements that meet the standards of CCI Industrial Services.

Lifting up to 70lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100lbs, carrying up to 50lbs, shoveling up to 20lbs, frequent walking and standing, occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting and reaching.
